Star Wars toys captured the hearts of an entire generation, selling an estimated 300 million action figures between 1977 and 1985. These toys allowed kids to relive the thrilling adventures of characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo.

The exhibition boasts an impressive array of vintage treasures, including:

- A 1977 movie poster crafted by The Brothers Hildebrant. Completed in an intense 36-hour session, the twins collaborated non-stop to meet the print deadline.
- A 1978 Death Star model that ingeniously used cardboard components to create the iconic Empire battle station's corridors and chambers.
- 1978 Millennium Falcon, designed by Kenner engineer Mark Boudreaux. This spaceship and playset hybrid featured Han Solo and Chewbacca in the cockpit and a playset environment complete with gunner's chair, training ball, and the iconic chess set.
- The initial 12 Star Wars figures from 1978. Kenner introduced these figures at 3.75" height to allow for accompanying spaceships and playsets, setting a new industry standard.
- Archival footage of movie trailers, toy maker interviews, and a soundscape featuring Star Wars film soundtracks.

Interactive gallery features await visitors, including dressing up as Star Wars characters, posing with a Storm Trooper, trails, and exploring 1970s toys through a vintage toy box.

Collector and Exhibition Curator Matt Fox says, "From X-Wing Fighters to Lightsabers, these designs have ignited imaginations and left a lasting mark on our culture. This exhibition, having set visitor attendance records across multiple museums, is now coming to The Novium Museum in Chichester."

Councillor Jess Brown-Fuller, Cabinet Member for Culture and Events at Chichester District Council, expressed excitement, stating, "This captivating exhibition will captivate fans of all ages, providing a rare chance to view unseen Star Wars treasures."

"May The Toys Be With You" debuts at The Novium Museum on 7th October 2023, and runs until 20th April 2024. Tickets range from £2.50 for children to £12 for a family of up to five. Quiet sessions are also available for a more relaxed experience.
